Dr. Merkow performed lumbar surgery about a year ago. I have been suffering from worsening pain, numbness, and balance issues for more than 14 years. The surgery transformed my life. I am completely free from pain and numbness. The balance and steadiness will take more activity on my part since I have been chair-bound and avoiding any outdoor activity for a very long time.
